He has the privilege of baptizing believers who have made a public confession of their faith and who desire to live for Jesus.  He also helps kids in the wood shop during Awana.  Jon has a strong desire to encourage his brothers in Christ and meets with other men to share life and pray together.  He and his wife Trina have attended DMGC for many years.  Trina keeps busy with homeschooling their children.  The Reimers love to worship the Lord through music and are involved in music ministry at DMGC.  Jon has been in the counseling and social work fields for over 30 years.  In his spare time he enjoys reading and trout fishing.

Julie Earley - Women's Ministries Liaison, Acquisitions, Janitorial
Julie and her husband Bruce have been attending DMGC for over 25 years and not only have grown up in their faith here, but have also made some of their dearest friends.  She is on the Deacon Board and thinks shopping for everything from new carpet to new trash cans is fun!  She also enjoys keeping the building clean as it is active and satisfying when the job is done!  Julie serves on the Women's Council and is a part-time DMGC secretary.  She and Bruce have two adult children, a wonderful son-in-law and a doggie that bring them great joy.  She enjoys the beautiful Northwest and feels especially blessed to live in this part of the country.

Keith Culver - Acquisitions, Building Maintenance, Insurance
Keith and his wife Marianne of 32 years raised their three daughters and one son at DMGC.  They are Northwest natives and have been attending DMGC for nearly 30 years.  Keith is the Director of Vendor and Contract Services at World Vision and serves on the Deacon Board in the areas of acquisitions, insurance and building maintenance/ repairs.  He loves woodworking (you should see his raised garden beds and beautiful furniture), and he enjoys home renovation projects, especially working alongside his sons-in-law in their homes.  Keith is an avid football watcher, and he and Marianne can also be found on the ballroom dance floor.  They have a beautiful little granddaughter that they adore.

Marty Hughes - Treasurer
Marty is the Chapel Treasurer, and week after week he tackles everything from paying bills, to keeping track of the many ministry budgets, to handling some of the human resources needs of the church.  He and his wife Trish of 29 years have been faithful attendees at DMGC for 27 years.  Marty and Trish have two adult children and four wonderful grandchildren in Texas that they love to visit as often as possible.  Marty and Trish spend a good deal of their time as owner-operators of The Oilerie in Burien which sells delicious Italian olive oils and vinegars, pastas, spices and other specialty foods.  Pop in for a sample and say hello!  They love to play all kinds of board games and enjoy cruising...they have been on 17 cruises all over the world!

Rod Hanson - Secretary, Associate Treasurer
Rod has attended DMGC since the 1950's when his family moved to the area from Lombard, IL.  He has served on the Deacon Board primarily as Secretary since the late 1970's and periodically as a member of the Lakeside Bible Camp Board during that time.  Rod grew up in the Federal Way area and attended Culver City Bible School in Southern California in 1973-1974 where he met his wife Kathy.  They were were married in the San Francisco Bay area in 1975, but have lived in the Des Moines area since 1979 where they have attended DMGC, served in a variety of capacities and raised two children.  Rod retired from the Boeing Company as a engineering Manager in 2014 after 34 years of service.  He enjoys music, digital photo/video creativity and humor.  He and Kathy try to visit their alternate church family, Kaanapali Beach Ministries in Maui, as often as possible!
