Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28v18-20
At Des Moines Gospel Chapel, we believe that some are called to make disciples of all nations by us to go out to the nations to see introduce people to Jesus.
These are people who have been sent from our church family to do just that.
Global Missions
Denise Campbell
Phil and Denise Campbell began attending DMGC when they moved to Kent as newlyweds in 1980.
In 1984 the Campbells were sent out from DMGC to Southeast Asia as Wycliffe Bible Translators. For nearly forty years the focus of their work was translation for people groups without the Bible in their own languages. For most of their ministry, Phil and Denise lived and worked among the Bambam people. In recent years, Phil and Denise began passing the baton to the next generation.
Phil passed away in November 2022, five months after the discovery of an inoperable brain tumor. Denise is still a member of Wycliffe Bible Translators but has retired from active ministry. She is currently living in Spokane, Washington near her family.

Kieswether's
Matt, Grace and their three children (Aubrey, Elliot, and Jack) began attending DMGC in 2019 when Matthew joined our team. In 2022 the Kieswethers accepted the call to serve in Spain. Though they are in Spain, DMGC remains their home church in the U.S.
They are serving the outcasts of society: Gitanos (Gypsies), as well as immigrants and refugees from Africa and the Middle East who work in the greenhouses around town by providing practical care for their kids and by inviting all of them to follow Jesus. The harvest is huge since Spain is less than 2% Evangelical.

Rameriez
Mindy grew up at Des Moines Gospel Chapel until her family moved to Dubuque Iowa where her father joined the staff at a Bible College in 2006. Mindy has served in many places around the world but in 2018 Mindy moved to Peru to work with orphans where she met her husband Javier, who shared a heart for Jesus and kids in difficult situations. Mindy and Javier have one daughter, Lilia.
Javier is the coordinator for family mentorship for young people coming out of orphanages, which involves matching them with families to teach them what it looks like to follow Jesus. He also helped start a foster care program. Mindy assists him in those programs and works with a local boys' orphanage.
